So I'm finally done with Music Theory 101. All assignments have been handed in, and now I'm just waiting for everyone to have our last chat tonight to reflect on the course and see where everyone stands as to their musical endeavor. It'd be a good time to match people up with similar interests or perhaps just get to know who to go to when the desire to collaborate arises. :) All in all, the course was great! Gets and "A-" in my book. The "-" is because the text can sometimes be very terse in explaining some concepts and it takes some asking to completely understand it. The thing is once you hear the answer you realize it's something that could have been explained quite easily in 2 sentences or so. Apart from that there's the issue about the instructor not getting back to you as quickly as you could, but if you think of it in terms of offline education this is quite normal, but online communication demands much quicker turnaround and the course didn't provide that. Well, this is the most introductory course offered in the theory dept, so I ain't complaining too much. :) I'm off for a month and then back to taking more courses in July! Can't wait!! ^0^

The book I use is called "Users' Guide to Propellerhead Reason 2", but if you want something updated for 2.5, I'm sure you can find something similar. (784)
