I'm seriously considering going voicestream, especially since my contract with SprintPCS is over next month and they have a sweet deal where I can get the Motorola V60g phone for free after rebate. I also found a site that sells v60 accessories for cheap. I have only a few days to decide since the offer will be over soon! Any readers who use Voicestream care to share your experiences??

Dang.. what a bunch of balony... Here goes Microsoft fighting to scrape some more info from you Hotmail users

Hotmail Users Privacy Alert

If you are someone who has a Microsoft "Hotmail" e-mail account, you may not be aware that Microsoft is "sharing" your personal profile data. If you would like Microsoft not to share your personal profile data, take the following steps:

  1. Go to your Hotmail Account.
  2. Click on "Options," which is on the menu bar above your incoming email messages.
  3. Click on "Personal Profile."
  4. Scroll to the bottom and you will see that MSN has added two new boxes, pre-checked, that allow your personal info to be shared.
  5. Uncheck them and click on update at the bottom.

Go do it now! I just did. :(

A little discussion over the Logitech Pocket Digital I mentioned in my last entry...

Jer: The camera looks significantly large than credit-card size.
Mav (work): well, its hard to say... they don't have specs.
Jer: They have a pic in their banner. Also, the sensor is only 640x480
Mav (work): but i think west is sufficiently interested enough to get one... I mean, for $100 its probably worth it if it fits in your wallet at all
Jer: Did you look at the autobrite page?
Mav (work): no... url?
Jer: http://www.smalcamera.com/technology.html
Jer: I mean, the price is right, and it certainly *is* small. I just don't know if you'd ever want to look at pictures you took with it. Perhaps as pure documentation for purposes of later nostalgia...
Mav (work): is there something in particular I am supposed to be looking at or just reading the chip description?
Jer: The pictures with and without.
Mav (work): ah.... yeah.... I don't think I'd want it as a mainm camera... but just to have it for "better than nothing" moments
Mav (work): they have a version of the camera under products as well... but I think its less good than the logitech one
Mav (work): less memory at the very least
Jer: Now, that one is actually small.
Mav (work): yeah... i suspect the logitech will be about the same
Jer: We can but hope
Mav (work): slim and I were speculating though... and we agree that its not worth it if its more than about 4mm thick.... (roughly 3 credit cards... 4 tops)
Jer: the SMaL claims to be the world's smallest. The lack of a lens cap probably helps.
Mav (work): yeah
Jer: And 26 images is quite possibly enough.
Mav (work): eh... maybe... but if they are the same size, then 52 is better...
Jer: True. I'm quite sure the logitech is thicker, tho.
Mav (work): why?
Mav (work): I doubt it would be much thicker... I mean they're not stupid
Jer: Look at it, that lens cap sticks out as far again as the thickness of the camera.
Jer: It also doesn't claim Mac compatibility, whereas the SMaL one does.
Mav (work): yeah... that's another reason to let west buy one first.... I want to see if it just holds jpegs... or if it does something weird like barbie cams did
Jer: True. http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,94623,00.asp says 1/2 inch. I was right, the Logitech is more than twice as thick as the SMaL.
Mav (work): but yeah, the picture on logitech's home page does make it seem thick
Mav (work): half an inch? geeze... thats's not much better than the one I already have....
Mav (work): quarter inch is even too much
Jer: Well, the SMaL is .2, slichtly less than 1/4
Jer: slightly, even
