Finally found an awesome deal for the audiophile 2496 so I grabbed it!!! Looks like my ultimate audio routing goals will be met!! This is awesome!! Also, with the money I made selling my previous battle mixer, Stanton SK-2F, I bought the Edirol PCR-30 MIDI controller which is going to make my production efforts less mouse-intensive and a lot more hands-on (Don't you just hate doing automations with your mouse???) Now once final scratch gets released for the Macintosh I'm going to have to sell my CDJs to get it... But, only if it performs pretty well on my ibook. Ah... Tis a lovely age for digital musicians...

Speaking of Final Scratch, apparently they have released the driver source for it under GPL... Hmm... Very interesting...

Naw, dont get me wrong, I’m not hating. I still enjoyed their set and all. Their setup included a laptop, 2 turntables, and 4 CD mixers.

I just enjoy watching routines more when I see them flipping through crates -more for the speed and skill involved-’stead of seeing them grab one with the push of a button. They knew there were technical heads in the crowd though, so they pulled it off towards the end :)

don’t be hating on the CDs, man. :) Different mediums for different purposes. ;)

Dang, Chicago certainly gets more DJ action than pittsburgh, huh...

I should visit some day. (596)

Hey Slim,
Just thought bout you tonight cause I saw Triple Threat tonight here in Chicago. They threw down pretty good with a little bit of everything. I was a bit skeptic in the beginning cause they used CDs and mp3s when they started, but they broke out the vinyl towards the end. Hip-hop, reggae, funk. Ight bro, keep up the spinning.
