Damn... That was the most difficult crowd I've ever had in my entire dj career.... There were a bunch of old skool hip hop headz in the crowd feeling some of the more obscure old skool stuff I was putting down and there were the usual CMU mainstream crowd, but it didn't end there, there were a bunch of trance and reggae crowd... Throughout the night people were requesting trance and reggae.... Boy, I just started thinking that I was at the wrong party... -.-; Since the party wasn't that big it seemed like it was almost impossible to keep a good chunk of the people happy at any given moment in time... It made matters worse when I realized how big the place was and where I was going to be DJing at. My eye level was the same as the crowd's which makes it impossible for me to see the entire crowd's reaction... grrr...

Well, the good news is that I got to try out the sony mdr-dj700 headphones... and man... they're soooo comfortable! I felt that the bass reception on it wasn't as good as the Pioneer SE-DJ5000... but for my ears, these headphones were much more comfortable... I'm gonna have to save up to get a pair for myself... Oh, and the Ear Plug I recently bought online has done wonders tonight... It totally blocks the high frequencies but at the same time it lets the rest pass through. Greatly recommended!!! :)

No, man. Thank YOU for giving me the honor of being the DJ to spin at Lambda’s first party. I don’t know much about the national chapter, but I know you, and that’s what Lambda equates to in my mind. It’s always my pleasure to help out those who are trying to make a difference. (382)
