| Dude, I'm totally digging this female DJ's style!! None of the tracks are really hard core, and they're mostly a blend of vocal tracks with a breakbeat base and some added chicago hous-y tracks as well as straight out break beat instrumentals with samples... That makes the set quite melodious and catchy without stepping into the realms of trance, and the beat stays mostly true to breakbeat without crossing over to drum n bass. I suppose that's what they call Florida Funky breaks? I wouldn't enjoy this type of music when I'm at a club, but I would definitely enjoy scratching over them. This stuff is pretty fresh, though. The set is very well mixed in terms of taking you on a little melodic roller coaster ride... Ok, I'm just a sucker for female DJs.. :) |
